I have been a target of the Tga and customs dispite having a script to import nicotine pouches.

I have become away as of late July they have banned the importation of nicotine packets in Australia.

I feel this is a political move and will only create a black market just like vapes and tobacco here on Australia.

In Sweden where snus is traditionally from has one of the lowest smoking rates in the world.

Why are we banning this? The reason apparently is based all around minors getting their hands on them but to even get a script you have to be over 18 and I would never give or sell them to a minor.

The real issue here is taxes. Maybe the government would love me to light up and pay there grubby ridiculous taxes on cigarettes.

Nicotine packets were helping me from vaping and smoking. I have long covid and Nicotine therapy the studies are in there infancy but it has helped me immensely in my life. I apply patches as well. I have gone from needing 12 hours rest and a 2 day sleep in from a normal day’s work to a normal level of fatigue.

This has actually helped my health and for me to do my job as a painter which is highly physical. I pay taxes on the money I earn.

Why not do what nz does? Pouches are legal. Sell them and add a bit of tax depending on nicotine level. Legalise fda approved vapes.

What is going on here? What’s the bigger picture? What do I do now?
